About Me, the No-BS Herbalist

Ditch the bullshit! Heal naturally and live healthier — with real herbs, real science, and zero hype.

My Story

While I started foraging wild foods as far back as 2006, my journey into natural healing and herbalism started in 2009, when I was pregnant with my first child. If you have children, you know how very few things a pregnant woman or an infant can safely take—so I turned to natural remedies.

The information I found was overwhelming and various ‘experts’ held conflicting
opinions—leading to confusion and frustration. But it pushed me to learn and experiment for myself.

Still, after childbirth left my body physically damaged, I continued learning and studying so I could heal myself and care for my daughter.

Challenges Overcome

Of course, life has a way of throwing challenges at you—some more difficult than others. If you have ever struggled with your health, you understand. I’ve dealt with more than my share of health problems:

  • Birth control side effects and hormone imbalances
  • Stomach ulcer
  • SIBO and rosacea
  • Weight fluctuations and alcohol overuse
  • Chronic yeast infections
  • Thyroid cancer and hypothyroidism

Why Herbalism?

Doctors often struggled to provide the answers I needed, so I took charge of my own healing. My experiences have given me profound insight into women’s health and fueled my passion for helping others heal naturally.

My journey to health is ongoing—as is my learning! I have a shelf full of herbalism books and I listen to herbal podcasts and audio lessons regularly. I have completed several certification programs that have helped me become a better advisor for you. I’ve taken more courses than I have certificates for, and I’ve almost lost count at this point.

My certifications include:

Heart of Herbs Herbal School

  • Certified Herbalist

Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine

  • Herbal Safety Course

The Health Sciences Academy

  • Nutritional Therapist
  • Advanced Skincare and Repair Nutrition Specialist
  • Advanced Gut restoration and Nutritional Advisor

Alma Oasis

  • Sylvotherapy Practitioner
